This week's Dykes to Watch Out For offers a slice of life that is very familiar to us ever since Demetrius was diagnosed with diabetes in January. We give him two shots a day - typically around 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. It is surprising how difficult it is to be home every day at two times that are twelve hours apart. We have adjusted everything about our lives - our work schedules, our gym schedules, when and where we go out to eat. It's not as easy for us to pick up and go away for a weekend, either. Demetrius is a little more like a dog now. He's still the best cat ever, though, and we love him to bits.
