Stuff like this makes me feel sort of sorry for the legions of decent, principled Christians out there. The selfishness and hypocrisy of a loud, public few of their number unfairly tarnish the name of their faith. Every time a TV preacher, Bible-totin' member of Congress, or bombastic movie star gets exposed as a just-as-unholy-as-the-rest-of-us hypocrite, I feel a little sad for the honest people they have embarrassed. I know the frustration I feel every time someone who claims to speak for a group that I belong to says or does something stupid.
As for Gibson, you know, the anti-semitic stuff doesn't come as a huge surprise to me. But, really - "sugar tits"? Who says "sugar tits"?
