Saturday night David and I will be attending our first baseball game of the 2004 season. I bought a pair of tickets from a season ticket holder who couldn't make it that day. The seats are behind home plate, a little over to the third base side. Similar to this picture, but about ten rows further back:
Getting these tickets for only the second Red Sox home game of the season was only the beginning of my good luck, however. The matchup expected for Saturday evening is Toronto's reigning Cy Young winner Roy Halladay against future Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez. I am not a Red Sox fan - I moved to Boston long after the impressionable stage of life in which such attachments are formed and cemented - but I am a baseball fan, and Saturday night should be great baseball. Of course, baseball being what it is, we're just as likely to be treated to a 13-11 slugfest.
Have fun. I like your "not a Red Sox fan" link!

I have to be subtle about the "not a Red Sox fan" issue or they will run me out of town.
